Technical Specifications
Edge Details & Vanity Profiling
We offer a variety of edge details to fully customise your luxury bathroom surfaces. While our standard quotes include a classic bevelled or rounded edge profile, more elaborate options can be chosen from our technical sheets to add a unique, traditional touch to a vanity console. Please note that edge profiling decisions should be finalised prior to templating as they impact the final cut programming.
Basin Openings & Tap Holes
Whether you are specifying a surface-mounted vessel basin or an under-mounted sink, precise cut-outs are required. Under-mounted basin cut-outs involve significant internal edge polishing of the stone opening, which is reflected in the quotation breakdown. Tap holes (typically 25mm or 35mm) are precision-drilled at our workshop, and it is highly beneficial to have your chosen brassware on-site at the time our templates are arranged.
Proximity & Weights
Because natural granite and engineered quartz are heavy materials, your bathroom vanity carcass or floating bracket framework must be completely secured, leveled, and structurally capable of supporting the dead weight of the stone before our team arrives to template. Our stonemasons will evaluate the layout to ensure maximum structural support remains around all tap and basin cut-outs.
Choosing Granite Washrooms
Passion For Granite Bathroom Standards
Mould & Mildew Resistant
Unlike porous alternatives that easily harbour damp bacteria, natural granite and engineered quartz feature non-porous surfaces that are naturally hygienic, ensuring a cleaner and healthier bathroom environment.
Enduring Beauty
We source only the finest, highest grade stone slabs from trusted suppliers. Our uncompromising commitment to quality control ensures your surfaces easily resist chips, cosmetic stains, and cosmetic bathroom chemicals.
Easy Maintenance
athroom granite and quartz surfaces are incredibly simple to look after. Their smooth, polished surfaces wipe clean with ease using mild soap and water, requiring minimal effort to permanently maintain their pristine look.

Planning Your New Bathroom Stone
Our team are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have. Read our frequently asked questions, or contact us to have a chat.
Is quartz or granite better suited for high-humidity bathroom environments?
Both premium materials perform flawlessly in bathrooms, but they offer different stylistic benefits. Engineered quartz provides a highly consistent pattern and absolute non-porosity, making it popular for modern, minimalist vanities. Natural granite delivers unique, dramatic veining and exceptional structural density. Because both are completely water-resistant, your choice simply depends on your personal design aesthetic.
Can you template and fit stone worktops over existing old bathroom vanities?
We can install new stone surfaces onto existing vanity furniture provided the cabinetry is completely stable, perfectly level, structurally sound, and any old worktops have been safely removed before our arrival. To ensure a flawless fit, the vanity framework must be in its permanent, final position before our team conducts the laser templating.
Do you handle the plumbing reconnections for vanity basins and taps?
Our team are strictly stone fabrication and installation specialists, meaning we do not manage plumbing disconnections or final waste and tap installations. Any under-mounted basins must be structurally mounted to your vanity support base before we template. Once our stonemasons position the finished stone tops, we seal the joints cleanly with silicone mastic, leaving it ready for your qualified plumber to connect the water supplies.
