Premium Quartz Worktops
Engineered quartz has become the modern gold standard for high-performance interior surfaces. Combining over 90% natural quartz crystals with advanced polymer resins, quartz surfaces deliver an incredibly durable, uniform material that perfectly captures the breathtaking look of natural stone while offering unmatched structural consistency.
Absolute Non-Porosity
The resin bonding completely eliminates micro-pores, making quartz entirely resistant to stubborn liquid absorption, cosmetic staining, or deep chemical discolouration.
Naturally Antibacterial
Because the smooth surface cannot harbour hidden dampness or organic bacteria, it is incredibly hygienic and wonderfully simple to clean with warm soap and water.
Infinite Style Consistency
Unlike natural stone slabs, quartz allows for flawless colour matching and uniform pattern continuity across extensive layouts and complex mitred joints.
Stonemason's Advisory Note
Because quartz contains resin binders, it is specifically engineered for interior applications like kitchens, bars, and bathroom vanities. It should not be used in direct UV outdoor settings or as an open-flame fireplace recess lining.
Natural Granite Worktops
Formed over millions of years deep within the earth’s crust under extreme heat and pressure, natural granite is the ultimate statement of raw luxury and geological permanence. It is an exceptionally dense, igneous rock that brings a completely unique, dramatic depth of colour, characterful grain patterning, and crystalline beauty to any home or commercial space.
Extreme Thermal Resistance
The resin bonding completely eliminates micro-pores, making quartz entirely resistant to stubborn liquid absorption, cosmetic staining, or deep chemical discolouration.
Scratch & Impact Proof
Because the smooth surface cannot harbour hidden dampness or organic bacteria, it is incredibly hygienic and wonderfully simple to clean with warm soap and water.
Complete Weatherproof Stability
Unlike natural stone slabs, quartz allows for flawless colour matching and uniform pattern continuity across extensive layouts and complex mitred joints.

Samples FAQs
Common Questions About Stone Selection
Our team are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have. Read our frequently asked questions, or contact us to have a chat.
Why is it important to view full stone slabs rather than relying on a small sample?
Small hand samples are helpful for coordinating basic paint colours or cabinetry tones, but they cannot show the sweeping veining, natural colour shifts, and full-scale patterning present in a full slab. We always encourage clients to arrange an appointment to visit our Biggleswade showroom to view our full stone slabs in person before workshop cutting begins.
Can I use quartz for an outdoor barbecue or garden kitchen area?
We strictly advise against installing standard engineered quartz outdoors. The resins used to bind the quartz crystals together will quickly yellow, fade, and structurally weaken when exposed to direct sunlight and UV rays. For external spaces, natural granite is the perfect, 100% weather-resistant choice.
What is the difference between a polished and a honed surface finish?
A polished finish is buffed intensely in our workshop to create a highly reflective, glossy, mirror-like surface that accentuates the depth of colour in the stone. A honed finish is processed to create a smooth, velvet-like matte texture. Honed finishes offer a beautiful, contemporary look but can require slightly more regular cleaning to prevent fingerprint marking.
