Finding a Stone Surface that Complements Your Home

Gloucestershire features an incredible variety of architectural styles, from the historic docks and period townhouses in Gloucester to the rural stone properties and agricultural buildings scattered across the Severn Vale. Finding the right look relies entirely on matching a material to your property’s natural light, layout, and daily routine.

If you are updating a traditional country home, a character cottage, or a rustic period property, a natural granite slab is an excellent choice. Granite is completely organic, meaning every single piece comes with its own unique veining, mineral patterns, and rich textures. It serves as a breathtaking natural feature in your kitchen, sitting comfortably alongside original timber frames, traditional ranges, and hand-painted shaker cabinets.

For modern open-plan extensions, minimalist layouts, and large kitchen islands found in many of the county’s newer homes, engineered quartz is a popular choice. Quartz offers consistent colour and pattern, which suits larger workspaces and breakfast bars. It is non-porous and resistant to scratches, making it a practical, low-maintenance option for busy households.
Direct Workshop Pipeline

Seamless Logistics and Clean On-Site Fitting Across the County

Our main stone workshop and slab showroom are at Stanford Farm in Biggleswade, but we regularly carry out installations across Gloucestershire. Our teams travel the main routes to work with kitchen studios, private clients, and local contractors who want direct workshop quality.

All complex joints, sink cutouts, and hob openings are completed in our workshop. This keeps the mess out of your home and ensures everything fits as it should on installation day.

Straightforward Answers on Technical Details

Our team are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have. Read our frequently asked questions or contact us to chat.

It is actually very easy. If you choose engineered quartz, it requires zero specialist maintenance, sealing, or top-up treatments over its lifetime. A quick wipe down with warm water and mild soap is all you need to keep it looking factory-new. Natural granite needs just a little bit more attention, so we recommend a quick top-up application of stone sealer roughly once a year to keep it fully resistant to everyday oil, coffee, and wine spills. We will run through the care details before we leave your home.

Our team are strictly specialists in stone fabrication and installation. While we will securely anchor your new worktops, cut out precision openings for your hobs, and cleanly seal your undermount sink bowls with high-grade silicone mastic, we are not qualified to execute final gas, electrical, or primary plumbing connections. We leave your stone completely level and immaculate so that your qualified local plumber or kitchen fitter can hook up your appliances safely.

Yes, we do this regularly. Our workshop is fully set up to create all kinds of bespoke architectural features. Beyond classic kitchen countertops, our masons frequently design and fit moisture-sealed stone vanity surfaces for master suites, matching splashbacks, utility upstands, and thick, thermal-resistant natural stone hearths tailored to frame living room fireplaces.

Because we manage 100% of the fabrication work inside our own workshop and never rely on external suppliers or overseas processors, our lead times are highly reliable. Once we have captured your digital laser template at your home, we are usually ready to return and install your finished stone worktops within 7 to 10 working days.
