I won’t use anyone else for my quartz and granite worktops. I run a kitchen business in Telford, and although Passion for Granite is a fair distance away, they always produce the highest-quality installations and turn up exactly when they say they will. Once you find someone who does exceptional work, you don’t go anywhere else. Passion for granite is that Place!

Finding the Right Material

Matching Premium Stone to Cambs Architecture

Cambridgeshire has a wonderful mix of homes, from the beautiful stone cottages in rural villages and historic townhouses in Ely to the bright, modern eco-extensions around Cambridge itself.

Finding the right worktop is all about choosing a material that suits the character of your building and fits your daily routine.
If you live in one of the county’s older period properties, natural granite is a reliable option. Each slab has its own mineral patterns and veining, so every worktop is unique. Granite works well with traditional timber frames, flagstone floors, and classic shaker kitchens, adding a sense of character and history to your space.

If you are building a new extension or updating a modern family space, engineered quartz is a practical choice. Quartz offers a consistent colour and pattern, which suits large kitchen islands or minimalist layouts. It is non-porous and highly scratch-resistant, so it is easy to keep clean and stands up well to daily use.
Getting the Stone to You

Fast Turnarounds and Local Installation from Our Workshop

Our fabrication workshop at Stanford Farm, Biggleswade, is located close to the Cambridgeshire border, so we cover the whole county as part of our regular service area. Our installation teams frequently work along the A1, A14 and A428 routes to support local projects.

We use digital measuring equipment to record your kitchen layout accurately, rather than relying on manual templates. This allows us to capture the exact shape of your walls to the millimetre. We take these precise measurements back to our workshop, where all cutting and polishing is completed. This approach keeps your home tidy and ensures a precise fit on installation day.

Clear Answers on Your Project

Our team are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have. Read our frequently asked questions, or contact us to have a chat.

We highly recommend doing this. Because stone is a natural product, the patterns can vary across different batches. You are more than welcome to book an appointment to come down to our Biggleswade workshop, look through our full-sized granite and quartz slabs in person, and select the exact piece of stone that will be installed in your home.

It is actually very straightforward. If you choose engineered quartz, it requires no special maintenance or sealing at all. A simple wipe down with warm, soapy water is all you need to keep it looking factory-new. Natural granite needs a little bit more care, so we recommend applying a quick top-up sealer roughly once a year to keep it completely resistant to everyday oil and wine spills. We will walk you through the full care routine before we leave.

Yes, we do this regularly. We work alongside private homeowners, independent kitchen designers, building contractors, and local developers. Because we manage all fabrication in-house, we can offer competitive trade pricing and reliable lead times that fit in with your overall build schedule.

Our workshop is fully equipped for all kinds of bespoke projects. Aside from kitchen countertops, our masons frequently manufacture hygienic stone vanity tops and custom splashbacks for master bathrooms, durable utility room upstands, and thick, thermal-resistant natural stone hearths for living room fireplaces.
