Bespoke Granite & Quartz Worktops

Cambridge Kitchen Worktops in Granite and Quartz

Only 20 Miles From Our Showroom
Based in Biggleswade, Passion for Granite is a family business supplying and fitting granite and quartz worktops, and Cambridge is one of the areas we work in regularly rather than occasionally. Every project is templated properly first, either during a home visit or from drawings if you have them, then fabricated by our own team before we fit it ourselves. We don’t outsource any part of the process. Homeowners, developers, landlords and trade contractors in Cambridge all get the same workshop pricing and the same finish. We work with plenty of self builders in Cambridge too, coordinating fabrication and fitting around the rest of their build schedule.

Didn't expect the whole thing to be this easy, honestly. Quartz colour matched exactly what we picked from the sample. Bit worried about the cost at first but it worked out cheaper than expected. Glad we didn't just go with the cheapest quote.

Working Regularly Across Cambridge and the Surrounding Area

Cambridge has a good spread of family homes, newer developments and the odd larger property, and we fit granite and quartz into all of them. Granite is popular with anyone wanting genuine natural stone character, particularly in older or more traditional kitchens. Quartz suits modern, open plan spaces where a consistent finish across a long worktop run matters more than natural variation. We quote both for every Cambridge project, so you can weigh up the practical differences and the look before making a decision either way. Bungalows and single storey homes around Cambridge often have simpler kitchen layouts, which keeps both templating and fitting more straightforward.

The Passion for Granite Guarantee

Granite does need an annual reseal to keep it resistant to staining, but it's a small job for the character it gives back in return. Quartz needs no sealing at all, just regular cleaning with warm soapy water. Commercial kitchens and busy family homes often find quartz easier to live with day to day, while others stick with granite because they simply prefer the look of natural stone. Either surface copes fine with a hot pan for a moment, though a trivet is still sensible daily practice.

We work from whatever you can send us, full drawings, a rough sketch, or just photos and measurements, and turn that into an itemised quote covering the stone, the fabrication and the fitting. Lead times are set out clearly from the start. Fancy seeing the slabs yourself rather than relying on a small sample? Our Biggleswade workshop is open for visits, no appointment pressure, just come and have a look. If timescales are tight, let us know early on and we’ll be upfront about what’s realistic.
